Counselling with Carys Walker
You’ve spent long enough holding it all together alone.
Warm, down-to-earth therapy for anxiety, self-worth, and relational trauma.
MSc-qualified • BACP registered
You might be someone who looks like they’re coping from the outside.
The friend who replies thoughtfully. The person people rely on. The one who keeps functioning, achieving, and holding everything together.
But underneath that, your mind rarely switches off.
You replay conversations after they happen. Second-guess yourself constantly. Worry you’re “too much” or somehow not enough at the same time. Feel deeply affected by other people’s moods, reactions, distance, or approval.
Maybe you’ve become very good at appearing okay while privately carrying anxiety, self-doubt, shame, or emotional overwhelm. It’s exhausting to live this way - always analysing, overthinking, or trying to stay emotionally safe.
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you - it’s about helping you feel safer in yourself.
The exhausting art of holding it all together…
❋
In therapy with me, all parts are welcome - the “I don’t know”s, the “life feels sh*t”s, and everything in between.
I’m an integrative therapist, which means I don’t work from a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I tailor therapy to you - your experiences, your pace, and what feels most helpful in the room.
My approach is grounded in warmth, honesty, and respect, shaped by professional training and experience supporting people with anxiety, self-worth struggles, and relational trauma.

Get in touch! I’m most responsive via email, so reach out via the website form or email me directly at carys@outofthewoodscounselling.co.uk. I always respond to every enquiry so if you don’t here from me within 24 hours, please check your spam.
From there, we can arrange a free 15-20 minute introductory phone call. This gives us both an opportunity to get a sense of whether we may be a good fit, for me to share a little information about how I work, and for you to share as much (or as little!) information as you would like to about what has brought you to counselling.
Choosing the right counsellor for you is a big decision, and so I never ask anyone to make a decision on the phone. If, after a chance to mull it over, you feel you’d like to move forward then we can look at booking in our first session.
