What can you expect from counselling with me?

My way of working

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting - you know something needs to change, but it’s hard to know where to begin. That’s where I come in.

I offer integrative counselling: a fancy way of saying I draw from different therapeutic approaches and tailor them to you. I work from a person-centred foundation (you’re the expert on your life), and weave in ideas from narrative therapy, existential thinking, and solution-focused techniques, depending on what you need most. Whether you’re wanting to make sense of the past, navigate the chaos of the now, or figure out what’s next, we’ll find a way forward - together.

Therapy with me feels like a space where you can show up exactly as you are - messy, curious, quiet, angry, or unsure - without pressure to be anything else. It’s a collaborative process; I’m not here to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you uncover your own clarity, insight, and strength. Along the way, you can expect the occasional metaphor, a gentle challenge when it’s needed, and yes - even a bit of humour, because healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time.

I work with people across a broad range of issues, but I specialise in supporting folks who are:

  • Grappling with anxiety (including burnout or relentless perfectionism)

  • Impacted by relationship infidelity or affairs, whatever that impact may be

  • Living with the echoes of trauma, abuse, or adverse childhood experiences

  • Wrestling with low self-worth or an internal critic that just won’t quit

Together, we’ll explore your story - past, present, and future - and work towards reconnecting you with your own sense of worthiness, calm, and choice. You can move forward, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
